As night falls, a mother rabbit carries her young bunny home through quiet streets. Along the way, the bunny notices the warm glow of lights in neighbouring windows and wonders about the lives unfolding inside. Someone is talking on the phone, someone else is baking a pie, others are gathered for a party or saying their goodbyes.
When they reach home, the bunny is tucked into bed, but the wondering doesn’t stop. As sleep draws closer, questions linger. Are the party guests heading home? Is the person on the phone getting ready for bed? Who is walking through the street outside, and where are they going?
With softly focused black and white illustrations touched with gentle, neutral colour, this picture book captures the sense of curiosity and calm that comes with being out at night and slowly drifting toward sleep. Told through observations and imagined possibilities, the story invites readers to notice, wonder, and invent stories of their own. Quiet, thoughtful, and dreamlike, The Way Home in the Night is especially well suited for bedtime reading and lingering conversations about home, imagination, and the world beyond our windows.

Some items have non-standard dimensions and may incur additional shipping charges. If needed, we will contact you after your purchase to inform you.
RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
