The Upside Down Girl by Keith Negley is a picture book about a girl who climbs a tree, hooks her knees over a branch, and hangs there. A crowd collects underneath: a boy, the sheriff, the mayor, the mail carrier, each arriving with an objection. It is not productive. It is not ladylike. It is not safe. She stays where she is and offers no explanation, which only makes the crowd more insistent.
What she is actually doing up there is listening to the leaves and feeling the sun, and when she finally gives in and tells them, she warns first that nothing will ever be the same again. She is right.

RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
