I Want to Eat My Brother by Hélène Gaudy is about Oskar, a small rabbit in red glasses who will not eat. Not spinach, not spaghetti, not shepherd's pie, not even fries. His parents keep raising the offer. Chicken skewers, peanut stew, shrimp ragout, orangutan steak.
There is one thing Oskar wants, and it is his little brother. Written in rhyme and stuffed with wordplay, made for reading out loud at the end of the day.
Hélène is a Paris novelist whose books have twice landed on the Goncourt lists, and this is her second picture book about Oskar with Simone Rea, after I Want to Take the Night Away. Translated from the French by Julia Grawemeyer, with graphite and watercolour pencil illustrations by Rea.

RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
