Art Angels' Festive Dutch Gable Advent Calendar is a freestanding paper house by illustrator and ceramicist Polly Fern. The front is brick and flint with a curved gable, lit windows, and a wreath on the door, and it opens like a pair of shutters onto a sitting room done up for Christmas: a tiled fireplace with the fire going and stockings hung, a tree, a red armchair, shelves of blue and white china, and a whippet curled up in its basket.
Twenty-five numbered doors are worked into the scene, each with a small painting behind it, and three pop-up pieces stand in front: a brindle whippet in a daisy collar and two bamboo tables topped with vases of tulips and oak leaves. The gable's wings hold the whole thing upright on a shelf or mantel, and the house shape comes from the Dutch gables found across East Anglia, near Fern's Suffolk studio. It folds flat again for next year.

RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
