Billie Builds a RoboCorn by José Avelino Gilles Lourenço, illustrated by James Braithwaite, is a picture book about Billie — a kid who has never met a problem she couldn't engineer her way out of. Band needs instruments? She'll make them. Bike tire flat? Boom box go-cart. But when Billie and her dad move to a new town and she's left without her best friend, her solution is a little more ambitious: she'll just build a new one. Enter RoboCorn — a robot unicorn with rocket hooves, laser eyes, and a supposed talent for deep conversation, limbo, and pancakes. RoboCorn is, in practice, more of a garbage can with tubes attached. And yet.
James Braithwaite's scribbly, ink-and-watercolour illustrations are packed with visual gags, and Lourenço's deadpan narration keeps pace with Billie's relentless confidence. A funny, warm read-aloud about friendship, moving, and the particular stubbornness it takes to make things work.

RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
