Beata Heuman's Every Room Should Sing is the first book from the Swedish-born, London-based interior designer, who opened her own studio in 2013 after nine years working for Nicky Haslam. Rather than a run of finished projects, it is organised by design principle, a chapter at a time on decorating, on finding a voice of one's own, and on making ordinary details worth looking at.

The photographs take in several London town houses and a holiday house on Nantucket, with original drawings and graphic detailing running between them. The rooms are colourful and full of unexpected contrasts, held together by Scandinavian attention to detail and a firm sense of what a house has to do all day.

RETURNS

Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.

Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
