85 dog breeds illustrated and explained. A thorough encyclopedia for all lovers, young and old, of these wonderful beings. Did you know that the Labrador has webbed feet? That two Corgis had lived at the Élysée Palace during the time of General De Gaulle? Or that Dalmatians were born without spots? From the German Shepherd to the Bichon Frisé via the Pug, the Shiba and the Chihuahua, a beautiful documentary book that will delight dog lovers, to read as a family. Passionate about these fascinating creatures and outraged at the sometimes cruel fate that has been reserved for them throughout history, Emilie Chazerand pays tribute to dogs by describing with finesse, humour, but also sometimes with seriousness, the portraits of these best friends of humankind who faithfully wait for humankind to become, at last, the Dog's best friend.

Emilie Chazerand lives near Strasbourg, where she was “found in a packet of noodles” in 1983. As a child, she devoured books. Having become a nurse, she began to write chronicles for leshistoiressansfin.com and little by little, books regained first place in her life… Her works have been published by Sarbacane, l’Élan vert and Benjamins Média, among others.
