Lost in Peach Blossom Paradise by Xiong Liang is the first book in the Little Yu and the Treelings series, an illustrated middle-grade fantasy translated from the Chinese by Chloe Garcia Roberts. City girl Little Yu has just spent a summer in the countryside with her grandparents, and on the last day, wishing she could stay, she spots peach blossom petals drifting along the river. She follows them to a stone tablet that warns "Prohibited to cross," steps over it anyway, and the world begins to turn.
What follows is a journey through a hidden forest realm and its guardian spirits of mountain, cloud, water, and wind, the kind of forbidden crossing that calls to mind Alice down the rabbit hole or Chihiro in the spirit world. Xiong Liang is a celebrated Chinese artist as well as a writer, and his ink-wash paintings are the heart of the book, vivid and meticulous, filling each page with cave dwellings, towering cypress, and a great graceful hound. RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
