The Kids Table is a cookbook that dives into the beauty and chaos of family mealtime. Through honest interviews, heartfelt stories, and totally doable recipes, it offers a refreshingly real look at how different households make mealtime work.
From creator and photographer Monroe Alvarez: "I decided to create The Kids Table because mealtime was always a source of stress for me. With a picky eater at home, I constantly felt the pressure of making sure my kid was getting enough nutrients and not “failing” in the food department. I wanted to know how other families were feeding their children—what struggles they faced, how they handled them, and what they were doing to keep their kids healthy. This book became my way of exploring those questions and finding reassurance that I wasn’t alone. It’s a resource for parents like me, looking for ideas, inspiration, and a little bit of comfort in knowing we’re all figuring this out together."

ON & QC: CAD $12 standard shipping, CAD $25 1-2 DAY EXPEDITED shipping, and free shipping on orders over CAD $200 before tax.
AB, MB & SK: CAD $15 standard shipping, CAD $35 1 -2 DAY EXPEDITED shipping, and free shipping to on orders over CAD $250 before tax.
BC, NB, NS & PEI: CAD $20 standard shipping, CAD $40 1 -2 DAY EXPEDITED shipping, and free shipping to on orders over CAD $300 before tax.
NL, NU, NT & YT: CAD $25 standard shipping.
Local pickup option is available at checkout during store business hours (if you need to pick up your order outside of store hours, please email us at hello@parkette.ca and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs). An email will be sent when your order is ready for pickup. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

EUROPE
Estimated arrival 3-10 business days. CAD $50 standard shipping.

Some items have non-standard dimensions and may incur additional shipping charges. If needed, we will contact you after your purchase to inform you.
RETURNS
Online orders can be returned within 14 days of initial receipt. If more than 14 days have gone by since the initial receipt of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t accept your return or exchange.
Please contact us at hello@parkette.ca with your request before returning an item. We will provide you with a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be included in your return. All returned purchases will either be issued a store credit or exchange minus the initial shipping charge. We are a small family-owned business and unfortunately cannot offer any refunds at this time.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging. Items must be unworn, and tags still attached. All footwear must have no creasing or damage to the soles to be returned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help as best we can. Please note that due to recent changes in our payment processor’s policies, canceled orders will incur a 3% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your original payment. Once an order has shipped, we’re unable to cancel it.
